A letter from James

Hi! My name is Jamie Lee—but my closest friends and family call me James.

I’ve loved fashion since the first time I slipped into my mama’s high heels and my dad’s oversized white button-up, strutting down the imaginary runway of our living room. For me, fashion was never just about clothes—it was about how they made me feel, and how they shaped the way others saw me. In the right outfit, on the right day, I felt invincible. I felt beautiful. I felt free.

While fashion has always been at the heart of who I am, I also discovered another great passion: events. For over 20 years, I’ve built a reputation as a leader in the hospitality and events industry. Early in my career, someone told me to always “dress with a sense of occasion.” That phrase has been a guiding star for me. A sense of occasion means recognizing that a moment—any moment—can be special.

That philosophy has shaped my life. From planning celebrity-studded events to curating an impeccably styled home, to the way I present myself each day, I’ve worked to create a world filled with beauty, purpose, and intention.

That same passion led me to open a boutique and begin styling friends, family, and eventually clients. With each look, my mission has been to embolden and empower people of every size, shape, and background—to help them see their own beauty, inside and out.

I believe in being more than a pretty face. Alongside my career as an event professional, boutique owner, and personal stylist, I’ve grown into a nationally recognized business leader and speaker. I’ve had the privilege of serving with organizations such as Dress for Success, the Business Journals Women’s Leadership Council, Make-A-Wish, and as a proud recipient of 40 Under 40 honors. At every step, I’ve championed lifting others up—personally and professionally.
